Abstract des Autors
Changes in plasma volume (PV) and erythrocyte production rate were investigated up to 3 days after a marathon competition. PV - calculated by use of changes of <Prot> as well as <Hb> and Hct values - were uniformly increased by 16% until the 2nd day and still elevated the third day after the race. Because of only minor changes of <Na+> and osmolality and a slight increase of <aldosterone> one day after the race an increased renal sodium reabsorption might be assumed. The reticulocyte count increased by 106% at the 2nd day, which might be caused by an increased activity of erythropoiesis affecting hormones. Verf.-Referat
