Author's abstract

We studied the fibrinolytic activity in sixteen runners before and after a test-marathon. After the run the fibrinolytic activity (FA) increased significantly. t-PA increased 31fold, this can be declared as a main cause for the higher FA after physical stress. It is suggested, that t-PA may serve as an indicator in non-responders, to avoid hemostatic complications following strenuous physical exercise. Verf.-Referat
