Abstract des Autors

The rupture of the ulnar ligament of the thumb is one of the most frequent injury after ruptures in the knee-joint in sports accidents. The aim of this work is to show the results of different operative techniques for stabilization of ruptures with or without bony avulsion of ligament and the importance of operation time for the postoperative results. 32 patients with osseous avulsions were treated by Lengemann's technique. 29 patients with ligamentary ruptures were stabilised by absorbable suturing. In our follow-up study we could see that patients with ruptures with or without bony avulsion who have been treated operatively in the first days after the injury showed excellent and good results. Patients, however, who have been operated after more than 5 days after the accident showed functional restriction and in one case the instability of the thumb remains after reoperation. Verf.-Referat
