Abstract des Autors

Dynamic properties of knee flexors and extensors of male and female elite judoists were studied by using the Computerized Exercise System (Ariel, USA). Mean maximum torques of knee flexors and extensors attained in isokinetik conditions were by 30 and 40%, respectively, higher in men than in women. The ratio of flexor/extensor peak torques, or the angle at which maximum muscle torque was attained, were unaffected by motion velocities in the range of 100-300 deg/s. Above the velocity of 200 deg/s, differences between knee flexors and extensors regarding power output were significant both in men and women. Maximum muscle torques and maximum power output values for knee flexors and extensors recorded by us in male and female judoists were higher than those reported for endurance-trained athletes but lower than in sprinters.
