Abstract

Part I provides a complete overwiev of the research process, with particular attention given to using the library for the literature review. Part II covers statistical concepts in research: descriptive, correlational, differences among groups, multivariate, and non-parametric. Part III presents various types of research: historical, philosophic, metaanalysis, descriptive, experimental, and qualitative. Part IV focuses on measurement, the concepts of validity and reliability, movement measures, and written responses. Finally, Part V provides information on preparing the research report: proposals, results and discussion, and ways of presenting the research. The appendices include statistical tables, statistical computer programs and examples of SPSSx on micro- and mainframe computers, and descriptions of mainframe packages. Aus dem Vorwort
