Abstract
The authors present a study of different kind of injuries taking place at the carpometacarpal joints, basing upon a group of 15 members of the Spain Karate Team. Although the study has not statistical significance, it is important to underline the high frequency of this type of injuries among Karate players. A brief comment on the carpometacarpal entity anatomy is done, stressing the functional importance of correct treatment of injuries taking at such level. Verf.-Referat
