Abstract
The authors have conducted a retrospective study of shoulder injuries in rugby players between 1982-1985. This study is based on liability claims accepted by the Athletes Insurance Company (SPORTASS). This study shows that 17.3 of the total liability claims are composed by shoulder injuries. The authors have analysed the pathogenetic mechanisms and the game actions that cause the highest number of the shoulder injuries. They furthermore consider the preventive factors concerning these situations. Verf.-Referat
