Abstract

Activity in highly competitive sports consists of continuous adaptation to ever higher, often extreme demands on the athlete. The process of physical and psychological development in sport is stimulated by stress, which leads to appropriate adaptive changes. Autoregulation is here understood as a conscious and plurposeful applilcaiton of defined psychological methods to receive the desired behavioral and emotional changes, and to attain the maximum effort during sport performance. Our work concentrated on several basic methods of relaxing, rest and start mobilization. Our observations show that psychoregulation methods are confidently and convincingly adopted by athletes, improve feeling during sport training, decrease anxiety and give better performance of psychomotor tasks. In accordance with athletes opinions, these help also in the autoregulation of start tension. Verf.-Referat
