Abstract
The present situation of the development of competitive sport in different areas in China from the Eastern coast to the middle and the Western inlands. With the theory of administration and science of strategy for regional development, the author has put forward fresh development strategies and countermeasures in improving the efficiency of competitive sport, which will be of great significance to the understanding of sports situation in China and to the making of programmes and decisive policies for the development of Chinas sport.
