Abstract
Stress fractures have been diagnosed in numerous bones in athletes and military recruits. Stress fractures occur most commonly in the pelvis in runners, only one stress fracture of the sacrum has been documented in the English literature. The following case reports describe sacral stress fractures in two distance runners. If the physician is not familiar with this entity, there may be confusion in reaching the diagnosis and appropriate treatment delayed. Verf.-Referat
