Abstract
A comprehensive analysis was made of the physical characteristics of young men and women 18 years of age belonging to 27 national minorities in China. Measurements were taken of their body heights, sitting heights, chest circumferences, shoulder widths and pelvic widths, and data obtained from a survey carried out in 1985 on Chinese students physique and health conditions were used for reference. The somatotypes of the young people of each minority group and their characteristic features were observed, and their relations with sexual difference and bodily growth were analysed. Verf.-Referat
