Abstract

The purpose of the study was to research into the relationship between cardiac ejection function and ventilatory anaerobic threshold (AT). 39 trained (X+/-SD; 14.5+0.57years) and 32 untrained (X+/-SD; 14.83+0.85years) subjects took part in the study. Their cardiac output (Q) and ventilatory anaerobic threshold (AT) during graded exercise were measured. It was concluded that (1) The AT, maximum Q and stroke volume of the trained group were significantly higher than those of the untrained group (p<0.01). (2) There is a significant correlation between maximum Q and anaerobic threshold (AT-VO2)(R=0.68,p<0.01). (3) The Q during graded exercise increased generally, but it was not constant and linear. There were steep increase and transient decrease stages of Q during graded exercise. It was found that 79 of subjects AT occured at the stages of Q slow increase and transient decrease. The results suggest that the function of cardiac ejection affects the level of AT: The appearance of AT during graded exercise may relate to the decline of the incremental rate of Q. Verf.-Referat
