Abstract
This article presents new evidence on the connections between uses of leisure time and health status during employment and unemployment, which enables us to examine the extent to which the damage inflicted by joblessness occurs via its effects on leisure behaviour. It also allows us to specify those kinds of leisure patterns that are particularly health-promoting, and to determine whether these benefits arise regardless of employment status. Verf.-Referat
