Abstract
Overuse injuries affect a variety of tissues and anatomic sites, but they share a common etiology: repetitive trauma that overwhelms the tissues ability to repair itself. This article briefly discusses the structure of these tissues and the mechanisms by which repetitive trauma encountered in sports can lead to overuse injuries. Verf.-Referat
