Abstract
Three cases of Sinding-Larsen and Johansson diseare are examined by the authors. Reference is made to the particular features of each case and its onset in joung athletes in support of the view that the origin of the disease is to be sought in tractive stresses acting on the growth nucleus of the patellar apex.
