Abstract

Nine boots, sizes five and nine, worn by 14 persons, were applied by a newly improved measurement device with a new measuring mat. The pressure distribution on the lower leg, depending on the angle between the lower leg and the foot, is influenced by the construction of the boot, size, temperature and only in a special region, influenced by the subjects. Bad constructions having unsatisfying pressure along the tibia (except over the instep) can be recognized by measuring with any subject. The new mat is another step to a standardized measuring system for further boot testing; reproducibility is high. Verf.-Referat
