Abstract

Most children, regardless of gender, perceive boys to be stronger than girls. This differentiation is an imagined one since, for the most part, observed differences are not significant. This incorrect perception in the minds of children may be a result of sex-role stereotyping, which occurs in children as young as four years of age. The physical educator can play an important role in adjusting self- and other perceptions by using techniques and methods suggested here. Verf.-Referat
