Abstract des Autors

Eight male and eight female elite prepubescent tennis players were tested to determine their anthropometric and physiological profiles. No significant differences between girls and boys were found for height, weight, bone widths, girth measures, VO2 max, maximum aerobic performance, lactacid anaerobic capacity, alactacid anaerobic power, flexibility, muscular endurance, and grip strength in preferred and nonpreferred hands. The girls had a significantly higher level of fat as measured by sum of skinfold thicknesses. Both boys and girls had a significantly higher grip strength in preferred than nonpreferred hands.
