Abstract
By means of an electromyographic study the authors intend to make a functional valuation of the principal muscles of limbs and of the trunk. During the act of pedaling at different strengths, every muscle has been examined in amateur cyclists and in professional cyclists. The results permit the measurement of the intensity of the muscular effort, and the recording of the establishment of the muscular sequences and to show the differences between the pattern of the sedentary cyclist and the professional cyclist.
