Abstract

In this report are stated the results of a statistical enquiry carried out on all the accidents which happened during the period of two following winter skiing seasons on the slopes of Mont-Cenis. The authors, having exposed the method which has been employed to carry out the enquiry, then start stating the data that they have been able to assemble. The data are correlated one to another, compared with those resulting from other similar studies, and discussed. Of the interesting results of this research, in this short summary, weshall only mention the data showing the major risk to meet with on injury for women and children, as well as the definite part played by tiredress (always) as condition predisposing to skiing accidents.
