abstract	Die koerperliche und motorische Leistungsfaehigkeit wurde an 4235 retardierten Kindern (IQ = 50 bis 80) im Alter von 8 bis 18 Jahren mittels eines modifizierten AAHPER Youth Fitness Test ueberprueft. Die Werte werden verglichen mit Literaturdaten gleichaltriger Normaler. Dabei lagen die Werte der geistig behinderten Kinder signifikant unter denen der Normalen. Die altersbedingten Unterschiede in der Leistungsfaehigkeit zeigten bei den Retardierten den gleichen Trend wie bei den Normalen. Auch bei den Retardierten wurden wie bei den Normalen geschlechtsbedingte Unterschiede gefunden: Die Jungen wiesen in allen Testkriterien und Altersstufen eindeutig hoehere Werte auf. Korrelationen zwischen I.Q. und den Leistungen im AAHPER-Test sind durchweg positiv aber sehr gering. Hemmer
