Abstract
Heart congenital defect (defectus septi atriorum) was operated in two patients(a footballer and a judoist). Systematic medical check-ups have proved that the footballer and the judoist who had an operation (atrium septum defect) areable to go in for amateur sports, recreative sports and teaching, but have to undergo regular medical check-ups. Those sportsmen in whom congenital defects have been corrected surgically (atrium septum defect, ventricular septum defect, ductus Botalli persistens) are not fit for first class competitive sports.
