Abstract des Autors
This case is brought to the attention of physicians to illustrate that a subcapsular splenic tear may occur with minimal changes in the Hct, Hb, and WBC. Use of the laboratory, peritoneal lavage, or computerized tomography is helpful in diagnosing a splenic injury, but I still feel very strongly that repeated adominal examination with a high index of suspicion is of utmost importance.
