Abstract

The ECG changes seen during the development of an infant are caused by the relative changes in pressure in the right and left ventricles. The main changes are seen especially in the right and left precordial leads, but the rapidity of these changes can vary considerably from one case to the othen. There are several other ECG changes that take place during development, heart rate, atrioventricular conduction time, QRS deviation and in QT interval. The distance of the electrode from the heart wall also plays a role in the voltage of the complexes. Verf.-Referat
