Abstract des Autors
Neben einer Beschreibung des Medienverhaltens von Kindern und Jugendlichen befasst sich der Beitrag mit den Auswirkungen des Medienkonsums auf die motorische Leistungsfähigkeit. Daten der vorliegenden Feldstudie zeigen die negative Wirkung hoher Mediennutzungsdauer auf die körperliche Leistungsfähigkeit bei Grundschulkindern. Gesundheitsrelevante Konsequenzen für das Setting Schule werden mit Bezug zum Phänomen Leitmedienwechsel diskutiert.
Abstract des Autors
In addition to the description of the children’s and adolescents’ use of media, the authors investigate the effects of media consumption on movement competence. The data of the presented field study show a negative correlation between the level of media consumption and the physical competence of elementary school children. Lastly, the authors discuss health related consequences for the school setting with respect to the phenomenon of a change in guiding media.
