Der Wissenssprung in der Kenntnis intraartikulärer und extraartikulärer Pathologien durch arthroskopische Eingriffe, detailreichere Bildgebung und Fortschritte in Technik und Ausstattung ist enorm. Unabdingbare Voraussetzung für gute Ergebnisse ist die präzise prä- und post-operative Bildgebung und die Beachtung relevanter Grundlagen durch die hohe Komplexität des Gelenkes, die starke Weichteilführung und die großen Varianz der Anatomie des Schultergelenkes. Abstract des Autors
The number of shoulder surgery is increasing during the last 10 years. Advances in arthroscopic equipment, better imaging and technical progress of modern shoulderarthroplasty systems up to reverse and stemless systems.To gain good results in shoulder surgery it is mandatory to respect accurate imaging for preoperative planning and postoperative control due to softtissue- balancing, the various arrangement and complexity of the shoulder joint and the individual anatomy. Especially shoulderarthroplasty procedures need special knowledge of anatomical structures to avoid problems, intraoperative surprises and early revision surgery. This article should point out adequate imaging according to each indication. Verf.-Referat
