Abstract
Abstract
The care for amputees is nowadays a big and wide ranging market involving the research of new techniques and trials of new materials by many firms and enterprises. A more precise picture was depicted in the Orthopaedic and Technique Fair held in May 2010 in Leipzig, Germany. The fair presented different novelties, e.g. new prosthetic feet, computer supported artificial knee joints and myoelectronic controlled hand prostheses. The article offers a short outline of the current standards of the most frequent amputations entailing rehabilitation after lower and upper leg amputation as well as arm amputation. Verf.-Referat
