Abstract

Verf.-Referat

Abstract

Whereas national educational standards have been introduced for the so-called basic subjects, these remain undecided for physical education. Little consideration has been given to the perspectives of those involved with respect to this topic. Therefore this article is concerned with what physical educators think about the introduction of educational standards for physical education. 24 teachers from different types of schools and of different ages have been interviewed on the topic. The analysis of the interviews resulted in four contrasting argumentative patterns, which are based on certain daily experiences and perspectives of physical educators. The authors present these argumentative patterns as prototypes and as a means of expressing productive attempts at overcoming ambivalent requirements for teaching physical education. Verf.-Referat
