Abstract

This article presents the results of a field survey on health promotion policies and programs in various countries, including Australia, Sweden and Korea. In order to develop and implement effective health promotion policies and programs, the importance of a trans-organizational system for the close collaboration of various responsible bodies and a financial infrastructure, such as transfer of tobacco tax into health promotion activities, should be underlined. Policies that contribute to capacity building in the community should be more practical to improve the health level of the public, as opposed to an approach that tries to solve specific health problems one by one. Building a comprehensive ecological support system for the community would be a core strategy for health promotion policies and programs. Verf.-Referat
