Injektionen sind eine wichtige, invasive Form der Behandlung von Sportlern. Injektionen können Heilvorgänge in Gang setzen, erleichtern und beschleunigen. Ohne die Präparategruppen Lokalanästhetika und Kortisonpräparate ist eine wirksame Betreuung von Spitzenathleten vor Ort nicht vorstellbar. Der Sportorthopäde muss die besonderen Wirkungen und Reaktionen, aber auch die Grenzen und Fehler bei der Anwendung von Kortison-Injektionen kennen. Injektionen haben auch eine psychologische Wirkung und es bedarf nicht immer eines wirksamen Präparates. Verf.-Referat

Injections are an important invasive treatment of athletes. Injections can start, facilitate and accelerate healing processes. An effective treatment of professional athletes at competition is unconceivable without local anaesthetica and cortisone. The sports orthopaedist must know the special effects and reactions, but also the limits and mistakes of the use of cortisone injections. Injections have also a psychological effect and an effective medicament is not always necessary. Verf.-Referat
