Abstract

The posture of girls aged 10 and 11 years under two conditions of feet support was analysed to find differences in the shape of spinal curvature during two years period. The analysis of data showed that the direction of alteration in the angle of lumbar lordosis caused by standing on inclined surface was different. The girls whose standing on inclined surface caused the increase in lumbar lordosis had lower values of thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis in standing position on floor than respective values of girls whose standing on inclined surface caused the decrease in lumbar lordosis. No statistically significant difference was found between the groups in parameters of the trunk muscle strength, height and weight. During the period of two years a statistically significant increase in the angles of lumbar lordosis and thoracic kyphosis was followed only in the group of girls, whose standing on inclined surface caused the increase in lumbar lordosis. The characteristics of the isometric endurance strength of the abdominal muscles decreased and spine muscles increased in both groups. The analysis of the range of motion estimated by values of the anterversioflexion and retroversioflexion of pelvis showed that a small range restricts the increase in lumbar lordosis in standing on inclined surface. The range of motion of pelvis revealed to have an important effect on the changes of the angle of lumbar lordosis in different positions. The correlation coefficients of the retroversioflexion and anterversioflexion with the angles of lumbar lordosis measured in both positions and for both groups ranged from 0.55 to 0.84. Verf.-Referat
