Die persönliche Schutzausrüstung (PSA) für den Fechtsport fällt unter die Europäische Richtlinie 89/686/EEC und muss vor der Konformitätserklärung des Herstellers (CE-Kennzeichnung) eine strenge Baumusterprüfung durchlaufen. Diese Baumusterprüfung berücksichtigt die grundlegenden Anforderungen der Richtlinie und wird nach der harmoniserten Norm EN 13567:2002 durchgeführt. Der Artikel befasst sich mit dem Verfahren der Konformitätserklärung und führt Beispiele aus dem Baumusterprüfverfahren und den spezifischen Anforderungen der Norm auf. Der Autor ist Leiter einer der beiden zugelassenen europäischen Prüfstellen für Fechtschutzausrüstung. Verf.-Referat

Abstract des Autors

Personal protective equipment (PPE) for fencers belongs to the Directive 89/686/EEC which requires a severe type-examination before the manufacturer is permitted to CE-sign (declaration of conformity) his products. The type-examination considers the basic safety requirements of the directive 89/686/EEC and is performed according the harmonised standard EN 13567:2002. This paper deals with the procedures of the declaration of conformity and highlights examples from the test methods and the specific requirements of this standard.
