Abstract
Sport shoe research is of great interest in practical sports and science for 20 years. The main goal of the scientific studies was to gain knowledge about changes in the construction and structure of sport shoes to prevent sports specific injuries and complaints. From the beginning, the prevention of high impact forces at touch down was one of the most important areas to look at. With regard to the most common running injuries there was a shift from knee injuries (80"s to mid 90"s) towards achilles tendon injuries today. Goal of this article was to work of hitherto existing research areas (cushioning) and their relationship towards loading and complaints in sports. It could be shown that in the past several quantities were developed, different shoe designs were tested and loads were determined but no actual relationship between quantities and injuries or complaints was studied. Future research shall put emphasis an the development of pressure quantities, an the neuromuscular aspects of movement control. As well as an patients in the study design. Verf.-Referat
