Abstract des Autors
Verf.-Referat
Abstract des Autors
The fracture of the triquetrum is a rare in-jury. In most cases it is caused by a fall on the dorsiflexed hand. Dorsal flake fractures are more common than fractures of the osseous body. We report the case of a 15 year old soccer goalie, who sustained an isolated non-displaced fracture of the triquetrum body. The injury mechanism was unusual, with the hand being hit directly by the ball. The diagnosis could only be made by MRI. The conservative management with cast immobilization yielded fracture healing and complete recovery including return to competitive sports. Verf.-Referat
