Abstract
Verf.-Referat
Abstract
The acute dislocation of the patella in children and adolescents is often followed by chronic pain, subluxations or even repeted dislocations. The mechanism of injury is in the most cases an indirect valgus, flexion and external rotation injury. Predisposing factors leading to patellar dislocations like patella alta, increased femoral and tibial torsion, foot pronation and genu valgum must be considered to determine the necessary therapy. Additional knowledge of the underlying pathoanatomy following patellar dislocation is also mandatory. Verf.-Referat
