Abstract des Autors

The Hungarian Sports Federation for Intellectually Disabled is introduced in the article. In the first part the levels of Federation's activity are shown as a pyramid, with the recreational activity on the basis and paralympic games at the top. The member organizations and possible sports activities are also discussed. In the second part of the article the author pays the attention for the required collaboration of sports physicians and the Federation in the prevention and treatment of specific complaints of disabled people in connection with physical activity. Finally the importance of regular physical activity for these people is detailed. Verf.-Referat
