Abstract des Autors
All sports, even snowboarding, have dangerous effects, which should be known by all orthopedics, traumatologists and sports physicans. The aim of this study is to introduce the most common snowboarding injuries according to 36 elite athletes from the Hungarian snowboarding results table. We compared the most common injuries based on the international literature to the Hungarian competitive athletes from the season of 1996/97. The higher number of the injuries compared to the international snowboarders might be possible because of taking higher risks, having poorer preparation and condition and not using adequate protectors.
