Abstract des Autors
Rupture of the distal biceps brachii tendon is relatively uncommon, but can be quite debilitating in activities of daily living and sports. In case of a distal biceps brachii tendon rupture operative treatment is indicated to get an anatomical reinsertion. An anterior approach by one incision and the use of anchors is preferable above the technique according to Boyd and Anderson to avoid proximal radioulnar synostosis and periarticular ossification. With this technique an optimal recovery of flexion and supination will be achieved. Verf.-Referat
