Abstract des Autors
The young olympic sport "Taekwondo - Competition" demonstrates a wide spreaded sportsmedicine profile, with the main emphasis on orthopedic traumatology. The injuries are located in large numbers on the lower limb. The most common injury is the bruise, concerning to the full contact competition system. The risk of a severe head injury is reduced through the head-gear and the competition rules. Overuse injuries are also found on the lower limb, especially on the ankle, knee, hip and iliosacral joint. Verf.-Referat
