Abstract des Autors
Avulsion fractures of the ischial tuberosity in adolescents are well recognized, however, in adults complete avulsion of the proximal hamstring origin from the ischial tuberosity is rare. A few authors have described this injury in water skiers. In these cases, the patients sustained a forced hip flexion while their knees remained in full extension. In all cases of complete avulsion, authors recommend surgical repair to improve functional outcome and hamstring muscle strength. In a small number of reported cases of complete proximal hamstring tendon avulsion, there is mention of sciatic nerve symptoms. In each of these cases, the patient experienced sensory radicular-type symptoms. Here we present the first reported case of motor dysfunction after complete hamstring tendon avulsion. Verf.-Referat
