Abstract des Autors
Elevated levels of sIL-2R are generally observed in patients with breast cancer especially and in the patients with breast cancer metastases. It has been reported that the level of IL-2 decreases during physical exercise while that of sIL-2R incresases. It was interesting, therefore, to test whether exercise of moderate intensity would have any influence on sIL-2R levels in women after surgical breast cancer treatment. Examinations were carried out in 17 women, aged 42-75 years, after surgical breast cancer treatment. Venous blood before and after completion of 2 weeks turn of physical therapy in spa was taken and level of sIL-2R was measured with R&D set. The sIL-2R levels in sera of women before the turn ranged from 420 to 1640 pg/ml, mean 904.7+/-333.3, and after completion of the turn the levels ranged from 480 to 1900 pg/ml, mean 896.2+/-352.0. Test 't' for combined data did not show any differences in sIL-2R before and after completion of the turn. It can be concluded that physical therapy during two weeks turn in spa was of too low intensity to have influence on sIL-2R level. Verf.-Referat
