Injuries and chronic pain in the gluteal and hamstring region are common in athletes. Diagnosis of such pain is challenging and often based solely on unspecific clinical findings. We describe a case involving a patient with a quadratus femoris muscle tear confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); to our knowledge there are no previous reports of this injury. Verf.-Referat
