Techniques for the treatment of rotator cuff tears are continually advancing. Advances in repair take the form of less invasive and disruptive methods. This article presents the authors' specific techniques for both mini-open and arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, discusses indications for the techniques, and reviews the current literature.
