Abstract des Autors
The most common complication of arthroscopic shoulder stabilization is recurrent instability. Although failure rates remain higher than those reported following open repair, careful attention to patient selection, precise surgical technique, and attention to capsular patholaxity may improve the current success rates. Other complications, including nerve injury, articular cartilage damage, stiffness, loose hardware, and foreign-body reactions, are uncommon and rarely disabling. Familiarity with normal anatomy, surgical technique, and common technical pitfalls will minimize the likelihood of complications during arthroscopic shoulder stabilization. Verf.-Referat
