Abstract des Autors

The first part of this two-piece article has addressed the applicability of the electromyography (EMG) in biomechanics and the relationship between the EMG signal and the force produced by the muscle. The second part will now focus on the origin of the EMG and on its recording and processing. This article is mainly intended for the researchers among the medical doctors. It will provide background knowledge for a better understanding of this method, in order to make the application of this discipline scientifically based and less prone to errror. For this reason, many references, which provide reliable information on this topic are given. Verf.-Referat
