Abstract des Autors
The aim of the present paper is to analyse the relationship between the orienting of attention and the expertise in sport. More precisely, attention will be viewed as a process that can facilitate or inhibit the operations involved in information processing subserving sport performance. It will be shown how voluntary and automatic orienting of attention can play a role on both the sensory and motor stages of information processing, and how these different processes can be optimized through the development of participants' expertise in a sport context.
