Abstract des Autors
Diagnostic applications of the computerised analysis of somatotypes based on the Heath-Carter typology is presented. We describe here fundamental elements of the software developed on the basis of the STATISTICA analytical programme. Comparative analysis of the results of investigations performed in 332 boys aged 16 to 18 years using both the classical Heath-Carter and the computerised method revealed the highly significant conformity of the two methods of somatotypology. The software used in the latter method makes the assessment of somatotypes easier and provides more accurate results. The selected potential diagnostic applications of the computerised method are presented. Verf.-Referat
