Abstract des Autors
The focus of this article is on the acute management of the dislocated knee. Except for the management of vascular injury, the same principles and techniques that apply to the acute injury also generally apply to the chronically unstable knee sustaining a previous dislocation. The authors discuss injury definition, classification, and mechanism; associated pathology; evaluation, initial, and subsequent treatment, and techniques (including surgical/reconstructive, graft tissue considerations, etc.); and rehabilitation; and present a summary of their clinical findings.
