Abstract des Autors
The aerobic performance is the basal motor ability which is from the sportsmedical point of view diagnostically best accessible and has been most intensively investigated. Apart from other diagnostic procedures - as heart volume measurement, muscle biopsy - which allow conclusions regarding function and adaptation of particular performance limiting organs, ergometric investigations are the most meaningful possibility for assessing the aerobic capacity. The basis for the determination of the aerobic performance are sports-specific tests which are standardized, reproducible and practical and permit a reliable recording and discrimination of the aerobic capacity. In this respect the ergometric performance as well as the response of physiological parameters - as heart rate, oxygen uptake, blood lactate - permit a relatively reliable estimation of the aerobic capacity. Apart from the maximal aerobic performance the determination of the individual anaerobic threshold allows a motivation-independent assessment of the aerobic capability and advice of load intensity levels for the aerobic training. With reference to the individual case the test results and the determination of training intensity levels demand the consideration of (competition-)specific requirements. Verf.-Referat
