Abstract

In isokinetic dynamometry the authors have investigated the strength relationships of the agonistic muscular groups which are involved in the dynamic stability of the soccer players knee and ankle. The results have been correlated to the traumatology noticed most frequently in soccer players. It is interesting for us to notice how the number of traumas suffered by soccer players presenting a percentage strength relationship between flexors and extensors of the knee, which is about 60-70% at the angular velocity of 90ø/sec, is meaningfully inferior to the other relationships which were observed. In the articulation of the ankle the percentage strength relationship between the dorsal flexors and the plantar ones, correlated to a lower incidence of the examined traumatology, results between the 25-30%. The results of this research suggest the importance of the knowledge of a correct strength relationship between the agonistic muscular groups to be used for preventive and rehabilitative aims in the traumatology of the soccer players.
